The Little Mill of Happiness formed outside the Market Bar, Inverness after sharing a mutual love of Pavement, Tom Waits, The Replacements and Dinosaur Jr. The six piece band consist of members from established Highland acts such as Shutter, Low Tide Revelry and The Lush Rollers. The band sing honest, dark and haunting music, reflecting on a spectrum of influences, from the poetry of Philip Larkin and Charles Bukowski to the literature of Kurt Vonnegut and J.G Ballard.
The Little Mill of Happiness have supported acts such as Aidan Moffat (UK), British Sea Power (UK) and Pelican (USA).
The band have released their debut EP “Capsized Sailors” in September 2011, which is available on physical Digipak from their website and independant record shops. Digital distribution is available from iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and Zune.
